An old, ten-foot high wall in Arbroath, built from a mixture of sandstone rubble and round rocks from the seashore, is causing safety concerns for local residents. The mortar which was used to build the wall appears to have crumbled and the wall seems to be close to collapsing. Angus Council have erected temporary barriers along the edge of the pavement to prevent public access to the danger area, with proposals for new safety fencing at the site in the future.
