The Highways Agency have confirmed plans to replace a safety barrier on the M54 junctions 6 to 7 at Wellington, near Telford.
The work is set to take place between Monday 15th October and Friday 14th December, where the safety barrier will be replaced as well as traffic signs in the same section.
The plan is in place in order to improve safety for road users. Highways Agency project sponsor Laura Mobley said: Safety is our top priority and we are replacing the barrier as it is approaching the end of its useful life.
The work will cause the M54 hard shoulder and lane 1 on both west and east bound carriageways to be closed overnight and trees and other vegetation surrounding the area will be removed during the project. All vegetation will be replanted once the work is completed in December.
