A 2.74 million Highways Agency project to help increase safety along the M6 in Greater Manchester is get underway soon. Preparatory work to install a new section of concrete safety barrier around Junction 27 of the motorway at Standish will start on 14 May with resurfacing and drainage improvements in the hard shoulder.
